What Do I Believe?

I believe that to make the most out of your life, you need to ‘Explore your limits & Explore your world’.

But what exactly does that mean?

Explore Your Limits

One of the best feelings you have is when you achieve something that you never thought was possible. Whether that’s…

  • Completing a 5k race or an Ironman event

  • Getting a new job

  • Learning a skill that you thought you couldn’t do.

Explore Your World

And when you start pushing past your limits, you open up a new way of thinking about the world. You realise that…

  • You’re in more control

  • You have more influence

  • You enjoy challenging yourself

Why Have I Created JamesRunsFar?

I think that one of the best ways to explore your limits is to test yourself physically.

This means attempting to push yourself to do things that you never thought were possible.

With JamesRunsFar, I hope to do two things:

1) To Inspire you

I want to inspire you to push yourself past your own limits.

That could be attempting to break a world record.

Or it could be attempting to break your own record, like a PB.

2) TO inform you

The site is full of tips, advice and tools that I've used on myself in over 10 years of training and seen others use as well.

What’s My Background?

I’ve competed in running and triathlon events for over 10 years.

In that time I've...

  • Got a 5K PB of 16:01

  • Achieved a marathon PB of 2:30:05

  • Won a 100 mile race with a PB of 15 hours, 18 minutes, 42 seconds

  • Won Others Events - including 5K parkruns, half marathons, marathons and a 100k ultra

  • Completed 4x Ironman triathlons

  • Finished the Marathon des Sables

My current goal is my biggest challenge yet…

Running more than 800 miles in 9 days!

In May 2019, I’ll be aiming to break a world record for running from Land’s End to John o’ Groats.
